PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a series of coupling device having a high degree of freedom in designing for mounting a pinion body having a large maximum outside diameter at a gear cutting part regardless of a size of bearing and for eliminating a waste of resources (using many common parts) by using the high degree of freedom in designing. SOLUTION: An axial position of the pinion body 106 for a coupling shaft 104 is determined by inserting a cylindrical part of the pinion body 106 into a recessed part of the coupling shaft 104 to have a step 114 of the pinion body 106 abutted against a reference edge 120 then. Additionally the pinion body 106 is positioned for a bearing case 140 by positioning axially the coupling shaft 104 for the bearing case 140 via a pair of bearings 150, 152.
