PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can operate the inside at a high speed even when input to and output from the outside are slow and derive the processing capability at a maximum. SOLUTION: At an input part and an output part, an input line memory 23 and an output line memory 24 which can store image data of one scanning line respectively are arranged; and input image data are written to the input line memory 23 at the speed of input image data and the image data written to the input line memory are read out (n) times as fast as the speed of the input image data and sent out to an arithmetic part 25 or storage part 26; and the arithmetic part 25 and storage part 26 receives image data of one scanning line at the (n)-fold speed, process them, and output the processed results at the (n)-fold speed. A selector 29 selects the image data outputted from the arithmetic part 25 or storage part 26 and writes them to the output line memory 24 at the (n)-fold speed, and the output image data are read out of the output line memory 24 by scanning lines at a specific speed.
