Use of a heat exchanger for controlling the temperature and/or climate in rooms is new. The heat exchanger has a media guiding body with two groups of crossing channels (24) for the media, one channel group being tubular and the other group being shaft-like, the latter channel group being formed from bars (30). The tubular channels and the bars are produced from a film made of thermoplastic or a heat conducting metal. Preferred Features: Room air is fed through one group of channels and cooling air is fed through the other group of channels.
