The unit has a sun visor with visor part (3) pivoted between in use and out-of-use positions. It also has elements, to slide the visor part and/or part sections in approx. direction of the pivot axis, when in use position. (6) The visor part has a slot guide (4). The vehicle-mounted pivot axis (5) is formed as a guide journal and moves in the slot guide, so that the visor part can move in pivot axis direction relative to the axis, when in use position.
