PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin earth retaining plate with excellent construction capability and workability in the earth retaining plate forming an earth retaining device used for excavating a groove for burying a pipe body therein and for retaining earth for the groove. SOLUTION: This earth retaining plate comprises plates 1, vertical beams 2 fixed to both right and left end parts of the plates 1 and comprising pairs of columns 4a and 4b, and strut mounting plates 7 installed between the columns 4a and 4b and having strut 21 thereon for supporting a part between the earth retaining plate and the other earth retaining plate.
