PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook-and-loop fastener female material which does not rub the skin of a baby, when used for fastening a paper diaper or the like, is flexible, is sanitarily safe, can be produced at a low cost, and is thereby suitable for disposable commodities such as disposable diapers. SOLUTION: This hook-and-loop fastener female material characterized by fusing filament-processed yarns having many loops capable of engaging with a hook-and-loop male material on one side of a thermoplastic resin non- woven fabric at a constant distance by a thermal embossing method, having the fused processed yarns in two or more rows and holding the many loops on one side of the non woven fabric. The method for producing the hook-and- loop fastener female material, characterized by running the processed yarns in two or more rows along the running direction of the non-woven fabric in a space between an emboss roll and a flat roll, and simultaneously heating and pressing the non-woven fabric and the filament processed yarns with the emboss roll and the flat roll to fuse the filament processed yarns on one side of the non-woven fabric at a constant distance.
