PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional heat storage device is poor in practicality. SOLUTION: At least two sets of adsorbent vessels 2, 2' for receiving adsorbents 6, 6' and medium vessels 3, 3' for giving and receiving operating mediums 11, 11' between the adsorbents 6, 6' are provided. The adsorbent vessels 2, 2' are provided with heaters 7, 7' for heating the adsorbents 6, 6' and radiators 8, 8' for transferring heat generated in the adsorbents 6, 6' to the outside, while the medium vessels 3, 3' are provided with heat exchangers 9, 9' for effecting the heat exchange of cold heat in the operating mediums 11, 11'. Adsorption of operating media by the adsorbents and the reproduction of the adsorbents through the attaching and detaching of the operating mediums adsorbed into the adsorbents are effected simultaneously, whereby the heat storage device permitting continuous operation can be obtained.
