PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample warping machine and yarn guides designed so that the occurrence of trouble during exchange of yarns is previously avoided and the warping time of warping operations requiring plain warping and pattern warping can be shortened to extremely effectively carry out the warping by newly setting the optimal mode of using the yarn guides in the sample warping machine of the combined type of the pattern warping with the repetitive warping. SOLUTION: This sample warping machine is designed so that the plural yarn guides can be kept in a state capable of holding the yarns and a state incapable of holding the yarns in the warping machine equipped with the plural yarn guides freely rotatably installed in a lateral face of a warping drum for winding the yarns around the warping drum, a yarn selector provided in a part of a base for supporting the warping drum, feeding the yarns to the yarn guides and housing the yarns from the yarn guides and a leasing mechanism having a fixed creel and a rotary creel for erecting plural bobbins and capable of forming leases according to the preset yarn order while selecting and exchanging the yarns from the fixed creel and rotary creel and winding the yarns onto conveyor belts controlled to a prescribed feed rate on the warping drum.
