According to a blood group serological analysis method, a liquid test preparation is produced by mixing a sample containing erythrocytes with a sample containing erythrocytic antibodies. The test preparation is incubated in defined conditions and after the incubation, an optical test is carried out for possible agglutination of the erythrocytes contained in the test preparation. Polyethylene-glycol (PEG) is used in the test preparation as an agglutination-reinforcing substance. The conditions selected are such that the PEG alone cannot trigger spontaneous agglutination of the erythrocytes. |
