INTELLIGENT INTERPOLATION FOR GENERATING AUTOMATICALLY ACCURATE NUMERAL ALTITUDE MODEL

PURPOSE: An intelligent interpolation for generating automatically an accurate numeral altitude model is provided to generate an accurate altitude model in a region without an altitude and an edge of river by using an intelligent interpolation. CONSTITUTION: A land is generated artificially on an edge portion of a matching region by a result of an existing interpolation(101). A value of COG or a value of ECI is compared with a constant threshold value. The generated land is removed if the constant threshold value is bigger than the value of COG or the value of ECI(102). An interpolated region is selected and a decision for removing the interpolated altitude is made by using the selected interpolated region as a reference region(103). The remaining region is selected and a decision for recovering the removed altitude is made by using the selected region as the reference region(104).
