A system for the management of data, particularly for the design of silicon devices, comprising: a database; at least one library which is adapted to contain project data and with which at least a name, a type of data contained therein, and its address are associated; and at least one table which is contained in the database and is adapted to log the at least one library; the library is transferable from one design site to another and can be shared by a plurality of design sites. <IMAGE>
