The invention relates to a bolt seal, comprising a pin (1) that is thickened behind its tip (2) preferably in the form of a plastic jacket (7) the front end of which is configured in the form of a crown (5). The housing (10) of the bolt seal is also provided with a crown (11) that encloses the opening (12) through which the tip (2) of the pin (1) is introduced. When the pin (1) and the housing (10) are inserted one into the other, the tips of the crowns (5; 11) engage with each other, thereby twisting the pin (1) into a defined position under restricted guidance and entirely introducing it in this position into the housing (10). The crowns (5; 11) serve as an anti-twist protection of the bolt seal and thereby considerably complicate attempts at tampering with the seal. If the seal is nonetheless tampered with, which inevitably results in the destruction of the crowns (5; 11), this manipulation is immediately visibly indicated and it is practically impossible to cover up the manipulation. |
