PURPOSE: An extra high-strength invar alloy with low thermal expansion is provided, which has sufficient strength properties as a material for varieties of precision mechanical components and a steel reinforced material for ACSR(Aluminum Stranded Conductor Steel Reinforced) by minimizing coefficient of linear expansion and maximizing tensile strength. CONSTITUTION: The extra high-strength invar alloy with low thermal expansion in which one or more elements selected from the group consisting of C, Mo, Ti, W, Nb, V or a mixture thereof are added to an alloy consisting of Fe, Ni and Co as adding elements comprises 28.5 to 30 wt.% of Ni, 9 to 14 wt.% of Co, 0.1 to 0.9 wt.% of C, 2.0 wt.% or less of Mo, 2.0 wt.% or less of Ti, 2.0 wt.% or less of Nb, 2.0 wt.% or less of V and/or 2.0 wt.% or less of W, and a balance of Fe, wherein the extra high-strength invar alloy having a coefficient of linear expansion of 5.0x10¬-6 /deg.C or less and a tensile strength of 170 kg/mm¬2 or more is manufactured by the processes of smelting and deoxidizing the extra high-strength low thermal expansion invar alloy comprising the above compositions in a vacuum induction smelting furnace, manufacturing into a certain shape by hot forging a cast ingot, solution treating the heat treated material after heat treating the material at a temperature of 1000 deg.C for one hour, and cold extruding the resulting material to a maximum processing ratio of 95%.
