PURPOSE: A rotor of a rotary compressor is provided to reduce cost and to improve the reliability of products by forming a rotor integrally with a balance weight. CONSTITUTION: A crankshaft(51) having an eccentric part(51a) is mounted in a housing of a compressor. The crankshaft is inserted into a rotor(53) having a core(53a) to be rotated by the rotor. Herein, the rotor is rotated by magnetic and electric reaction with a stator. A protrusion(53b) is formed at an end of the rotor, and a balance weight(55) is combined to the protrusion. The balance weight is used to compensate the mass eccentricity of the crankshaft. The balance weight is integrally formed to the protrusion of the rotor. Thereby, the manufacturing process is simplified and cost is reduced. In addition, the reliability of the product is improved as the balance weight is not disassembled from the rotor.
