PURPOSE: A height controlling device of a washer is provided to easily control a lever without interference of an install wall despite the both wall of the washer is closely installed on the install wall. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling height in a washer comprises a base panel(20) combined to a lower side of a washer body; a controlling leg(40) connected to the case panel; a pinion(60) released or combined with the controlling leg by being supported on a lower side of the case panel; a rack(70) rotating the pinion by being installed on the case panel while contacting to a peripheral face of the pinion with a gear; a coil spring dropping the controlling leg by repulsive force by being inserted between the controlling leg and the pinion; a bolt shape unit(42) arranged on the controlling leg; a pair of spiral faces(42a) mounted on the bolt shape unit; a pair of spiral faces(62) released or connected tot eh spiral face of the bolt shape unit; a gear face(66) gear contacting to the rack; a gear face(72) contacted to the gear face; and a handle(74) formed on the rack.
