PURPOSE: A square plastic airtight container for storing food is provided to prevent a cap of the container from being broken in use, and to extend the life of use by reducing the residual stress of a hinge part between the container and the cap. CONSTITUTION: The plastic made airtight container(1) for storing food comprises a square shaped tall container body(3); plural locking projections(10); a cap(2) having plural locking wing portions having locking holes(7) corresponding to the locking projections, and an upper cover piece(5) rotatable connected with the locking wing portions via a hinge(6); and a packing(12) mounted on an upper cover piece of the cap for sealing the container. An obstruction hole(8) capable of obstructing the flow of molten liquid is provided between the locking holes formed on the left side and the right side of the locking wing portion, thereby the plastic molten liquid is guided toward the both sides of the obstruction hole.
