PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong a battery service life by suppressing power consumption by turning the entire picture into non-display state except when the picture display is required for using various packaged functions, such as telephone directory function, incoming melody function and electronic mail function, in a call originating/incoming waiting state or during a call. SOLUTION: After the lapse of a prescribed time from the detection of a picture display state on a display part 105, in a control part 104, the display part 105 is turned into picture non-display state. Besides, when call originating or incoming of a radio part 103 is detected after the detection of a picture display state, the picture display state is turned into picture non-display state during the call. Besides, when the execution of predetermined operation is detected in the picture non-display state, the picture display state is provided. When the execution of operation using a function packaged in a portable terminal is detected after the detection of the picture display state, after the lapse of a prescribed time from the end detection of function operation corresponding to use operation, the picture non-display state is provided. |
