PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ticket surface information reading method capable of preventing the occurrence of a reading error in a code part having insignificant contents and reading a code part having significant contents efficiently. SOLUTION: When codes 13 of a fixed length format recording information equivalent to printed contents 12 whose information amount printed on a ticket surface 11 so as to allow its visual recognition is variable are read, an effective data part of the codes 13 is read based on the results of reading information structure of printed contents 12 recorded as a part of the codes 13. |
