PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a GPS antenna system that can receive a radio wave from a satellite even the system is in a motion and is especially suitable for a mobile GPS receiver. SOLUTION: The GPS antenna system is provided with N sets of antenna elements and a control means that controls a received signal from each antenna element to allow a desired wave to be directed to a maximum value of a radiation pattern and to allow a non-desired wave to be directed to a null (zero) point as its active control. Since an adaptive antenna system consists of the N-sets of the antenna elements and the control means, even when the behavior of a human body is variously changed, the antenna system can receive a radio wave from a satellite without interruption and the GPS antenna system can calculate and display a current position without hindrance. |
