PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record various kinds of signals without generating record omission, in optical disk recording and reproducing equipment which can input a variety of signals. SOLUTION: When a recording command for recording first or second input data (data 1, data 2) in an optical disk D is received, while the recording of third input data (data 3) in the optical disk D is started and ended, the recording of the third input data in the optical disk D is interrupted. A region corresponding to the amount of the third input data to be written from a recording interruption position where recording was performed just before interruption to the recording end is ensured. After the first data or the second data are recorded in the optical disk D from a position subsequent to the ensured region, the data in the input third data which are not yet recorded are recorded in the ensured region.
