PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data without causing any shift or disturbance of synchronism even when a plurality of signals are inputted simultaneously. SOLUTION: The data recorder/reproducer comprises I/O processing sections 12, 13, 32, 33, 36, 37 for inputting data including image data and voice data, sections 11, 31, 35 for detecting the sync signals of inputted data, sections 16, 34, 38 for generating first reference signals of operation at the input data processing sections 12, 13, 32, 33, 36, 37 based on detected sync signals, section 16, 34, 38 for selecting any one of the first or second reference signal as a reference signal, and reference signal control sections 16, 34, 38 for controlling operation at the I/O processing sections 12, 13, 32, 33, 36, 37 independently based on a selected reference signal.
