PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a chassis by using a progressive die by developing a chassis with a step part to one piece for incorporating a chassis in a compact equipment. SOLUTION: The chassis has a pair of side parts 2L, 2R with a cut-out portion 2a above either a front or a rear, and a front part 3 and a back part 4 whose right and left end edges can be connected to a front end edge and a rear end edge of the pair of the side parts 2L, 2R, respectively. An upper side upper end edge of the right side part 2R, a right end part of an upper end edge of the back part 4 and a right end part of an upper end edge of the front part 3 are connected via a band-like connecting part 6. A rear end part of an upper side upper end edge of the left side part 2L and a left end part of an upper end edge of the back part 4 are connected via a square connecting part 5. The band-like connecting part 6 has a length corresponding to a vertical end edge and a lower side upper end edge of the cut-out portion 2a of the right side part 2R and is set along the cut-out portion 2a.
