PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of radioactive substances and reduce radioactivity, when shutting off a beam, in an internal ion source type cyclotron. SOLUTION: In this beam shutoff device, a shutter 54 is disposed near an internal ion source 12, and the shutter 54 normally disposed out of a beam path is inserted across the beam path, when shutting off the beam.
