PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a data communication system capable of easily correcting or adding a response (call origination) telegraphic message without requiring a database function. SOLUTION: In the data communication system for performing data communication between first and second computers through a communication line, a telegraphic message to be transmitted from the second computer to the first computer contains first and second identifiers for identifying the second computer. In a storage part attached to the first computer, on the other hand, a file having a name containing first and second identifiers for identifying the second computer is formed, and when transmitting the telegraphic message from the first computer to the second computer while previously and successively storing one or plural telegraphic messages in this file in the case of transmitting data from the first computer to the second computer, the telegraphic message stored in the file having the name containing the first and second identifiers for identifying that second computer is successively utilized.
