PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make instantaneously switchable between a normally displayed image, a magnified display image and a reduced display image without rewriting screen data of a VRAM. SOLUTION: Magnifying processing sections 7-1, 7-2, etc., conduct magnifying processes for screen data supplied from a VRAM3 employing respective magnifying algorithms and output the processed data to a mode selecting section 9 through a magnifying process selection section 8. Based on display mode selection signals supplied from a control section 1', the section 9 selects either one of the screen data supplied from the VRAM3 or supplied from the section 8 and outputs to a display section 4. Thus, while displaying the screen data supplied from the VRAM3 on the section 4, the screen data are magnify processed and outputted to the section 9 with no rewriting of the screen data of the VRAM3 and a normally displayed image and a magnified display image are instantaneously switched by only switching the section 9.
