PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method which can suppress moire, etc., and can improve the readableness of letters, in the case of binary-coding data prior to output after performing the conversion of the resolution of binary input data, etc. SOLUTION: An image processor, which converts the resolution of binary image input data and outputs it as binary image data, has a unit for inputting the binary image data; a unit for setting the conversion rate information to be used for conversion of the resolution; a unit 101 for converting the '0≈of binary image input data into the '0' of eight-bit data and the '1' of binary image input data into the '255' of eight-bit data; a unit 102 for performing the leveling geared to the above conversion rate information, to this eight-bit data, and performing the processing of conversion of resolution; and a unit 103 for enabling the quantity of control of dot concentration of each picture element, based on the conversion rate information, and binary-coding the eight- bit data after conversion processing of resolution. |
