PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lighting device which enables mounting a socket mounting metal fitting to chassis easily and correctly. SOLUTION: A socket mounting metal fitting 4 is hooked inside a chassis 1 by inserting a plurality of hooking nails 23 formed so as to protrude outward at the side plate part 21 of socket mounting metal fitting 4 to a plurality of locking holes 13 perforated on both side wall parts 12 of chassis 1 respectively. The lighting device which fixes the metal fitting 4 to the chassis 1 by inserting a side plate part 21 between plurality of folded tongue-shaped pieces 15 folded from a base wall part 11 of chassis 1 and the side wall part 12, is premised. By fringing folded tongue-shaped piece 15 with a pair of base side fringes 15a parallel with the side wall part 12, a pair of top end tapered fringes 15b ranging with oblique angle against the base side fringes, and top end side fringes 15c connecting between those tapered fringes, the shape of the tongue-shaped piece 15 at its top end is made tapered polygon.
