PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent various kinds of equipment from being lost or left. SOLUTION: An equipment managing device 200 transmits an identification ID peculiar for the equipment managing device 200 at the interval of prescribed period (inquiry). Information equipment 100 judges that the equipment itself is not lost or left by receiving the inquiry from the equipment managing device 200 at the interval of prescribed period. The information equipment 100 which receives the identification ID of the equipment managing device 200 transmits the identification ID peculiar for each of information equipment 100 to the equipment managing device 200 corresponding to this ID (response). Concerning the information equipment 100 from which there is no response within the prescribed period after inquiry, it is decided being left by the equipment managing device 200. In this case, the equipment managing device 200 displays the name of the lost or left information equipment 100 or reports it by a buzzer. On the other hand, the information equipment 100 in the lost or left state reports its own position by a buzzer or the like.
