PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image pickup device for achieving a simple configuration of a pattern projection means used for calculating distance data, based on a pattern illumination image. SOLUTION: An optical filter such transmission mask as a photomask, and the pattern projection means with a light source for projecting a pattern as a component are composed. When pattern light is set to invisible region light, for example near infrared light, a mask for cutting infrared rays is used for the filter, and transmittance is changed corresponding to a formation pattern to give intensity distribution. With this configuration, a drive system is not required, which is different from a configuration using a laser, thus improving strength against vibration. Also, since any special devices and control devices are not required, a simple structure can be provided. Also, by combining with an image pickup means using a half mirror, the configuration of a compact image pickup and projection means can be provided. |
