PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission device and its method, and an information reception device and its method in which the service provider of a second network being a CATV can arbitrary change data for a subscriber of a first network irrelevant of service provider of digital multi-channel satellite broadcasting being the first network. SOLUTION: A modulation and conversion transmitting device 1 transmits MPEG TS as broadcasting data replacing NIT to CATV NIT from digital multi-channel satellite broadcasting signals which are received by an antenna 20 and CATV TS including controlling messages for controlling STB, to a communication line by multiplexing them. An STB 40 outputs image signals and audio signals from the MPEG TS and rewrites the contents of a memory 50 for holding CATV service provider set data based upon the controlling messages included in the CATV TS.
