PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute system reset by automatically detecting runaway of one microcomputer by the other microcomputer when one microcomputer causes the runaway. SOLUTION: A monitoring process 5a of notification signal and a generation process 5d of the system reset to function as a system reset signal generating means input physical information to maintain a prescribed behavior or prescribed timewise change tendency or a prescribed value among signals or commands or pieces of data to be outputted from the target microcomputer during a normal operation of the microcomputer and generate a signal to reset the system including the microcomputer when the physical information stops maintaining the prescribed behavior or the prescribed timewise change or the prescribed value.
