PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the satisfaction degree of client by providing optimal and speedy services even when a vehicle is carried into any service plant all over the country. SOLUTION: In a dealer, an external computer 2 is installed for reading the lifetime information of a vehicle stored in the storage means of an on-vehicle computer 10 and writing new lifetime information. When a vehicle 1 is carried into the dealer, the external computer 2 is connected to the on-vehicle computer 10 and the lifetime information of the vehicle is read from the storage means of the on-vehicle computer 10, thus required appropriated service work is performed. After this service work, the new lifetime information is written in the storage means of the on-vehicle computer 10 and the lifetime information is updated. Further, the lifetime inforamtion is transmitted to and recorded in a host computer 3 in the dealer and a host computer 4 of a vehicle maker, thus the vehicle can be managed unitarily. |
