PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrate, totalize, and output retrieval results (bibliographic item) as to known literature databases and a retrieval result as to an application document database while minimizing the number of artificial operations. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a totalization part 26 which totalizes the retrieval results as to the known literature databases 2A-1 and 2A-2 in format for totalization having specific totalization items, a totalization result output part 27 which outputs the totalization result, a conversion part 23B which converts bibliographic data common to the totalization items of the retrieval result as to the application document database 2B-3 to the same order as the item order of the totalization items, and an integration part 25 which integrates the retrieval result having been converted and the retrieval results as to the known literature databases 2A-1 and 2A-2; and the totalization part 26 is enabled to totalize the application document retrieval result after the item order conversion or the retrieval results after the integration in the format for totalization.
