PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color signal converter in which the memory capacity is reduced and the calculation time is shortened or the circuitry is simplified. SOLUTION: The color signal converter divides each of three input signals representing colors into significant bits and insignificant bits, divides a hexahedron in a region to be interpolated into six tetrahedrons passing one of eight lattice points constituting the hexahedron based on reference data obtained from a set of significant bits, a set of significant bits and a set of insignificant bits, and produces an output signal by adding a set of interpolation data obtained by processing. The color signal converter comprises a color correction memory 1 for storing reference data, a plurality of data memories 41-43 for storing interpolation intensity signal calculation data sharing a part of that content, and a section for operating interpolation data based on the outputs from the color correction memory 1 for reference data and the data memories 41-43 for calculating interpolation intensity signal.
