PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a notification system that can surely and selectively accept an incoming call under a certain condition while ensuring the operation of communication equipment even when the notification system is connected to the same telephone line to which the communication equipment such as a telephone set or a facsimile machine is connected so as to activate its own various functions. SOLUTION: The notification unit 10 connected to the same telephone line to which the communication equipment such as a telephone set or a facsimile machine is connected, starts a usual incoming call reception depending on the satisfaction of both the conditions that an incoming call arrives in the telephone line 20 and the telephone line 20 is interrupted after ringing is made within a prescribed number of times and the incoming call again arrives within a preset reference time after the telephone line 20 is interrupted.
