PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the header processing for communication data is hardly speeded up because it is conducted by software. SOLUTION: The data processor is provided with a header information extract section 2 that extracts header information from communication data arrived from a network, a header box section 4 that includes a plurality of stages of registers having a common format and arranged hierarchically and has a header box 7 arranged therein to freely define the processing form with respect to the header information in a rewritable way, a lookup table 5 that references the processing result by the header box section 4 to reference data registered in advance so as to conduct matching processing and a host computer 6 that rewrites the processing form defined by the registers.
