PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boosting circuit with a limiter which is constituted in such a way that a boosting voltage which is higher than a boosting voltage in an ordinary operation can be generated easily. SOLUTION: The boosting circuit with the limiter is provided with a boosting circuit wherein a boosting voltage which boosts a power-supply voltage is output as an output voltage, a first voltage-dividing resistance and a second voltage-dividing resistance which divide the boosting voltage, a first comparator wherein a first divided voltage obtained by dividing the boosting voltage is compared with a prescribed reference voltage and a first control signal at a first level is output when the first divided voltage becomes the reference voltage or more, a third voltage-dividing resistance and a fourth voltage-dividing resistance which divided the power-supply voltage at the same ratio as the first and second voltage-dividing resistances, a second comparator wherein the second divided voltage and the first divided voltage obtained by dividing the power-supply voltage are compared and a second control signal at the fist level is output when the first divided voltage becomes the second divided voltage or more, and a logic gate which outputs a boosting control signal at the first level used to stop the boosting operation of the boosting circuit only when both the first and second control signals are at the first level.
