PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital data receiver that decodes bits as many as possible even on the occurrence of an error in bits configuring a character or the like so as to transmit much more information. SOLUTION: In a digital data communication such as NAVTEX(Navigation Telex) where the same digital data are received at a prescribed time difference, the reliability of bits of preceding data and of succeeding data is decided. When there are differences from corresponding bits between the preceding data and the succeeding data, the bits of the data with the higher reliability are adopted as decided bits. Thus, even when both the preceding data and the succeeding data include an error, the data can be decoded.
