PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery capable of enhancing a cycle characteristic. SOLUTION: This lithium secondary battery has a negative electrode having at least a carbon material and a nonaqueous electrolyte, and the nonaqueous electrolyte contains at least lithium tetrafluoroborate and a vinylene carbonate derivative. The reduction decomposition reaction of the lithium tetrafluoroborate is retarded by the vinylene carbonate derivative, the formation of a film on the surface of the carbon material is retarded, and thereby the cycle characteristic can be enhanced. |
