PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an authentication so as to surely transmit contents to a desired sync device (contents receiving side equipment) without stealing these contents when transmitting the contents from a source device (contents transmitting side equipment) to the sync device. SOLUTION: The signed information obtained by combining the certification information of the sync device 2 being a certificate licensed by a first governing body with the identification information of the sync device governed by a second governing body is transmitted from the sync device to the source device 1, the certification information is authenticated by the source device, and the identification information is authenticated by using the signature, then the identification information of the sync device is recorded in a recording means. Next, the identification information is transmitted from the sync device to the source device again, and the transmitted information is collated with the identification information of the sync device recorded in the recording means by the source device. |
