PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetizing disk for a magnetic recording medium, capable of quickly and easily recording (magnetizing) a preformat, a video signal, an audio signal or the like by a strong magnetic field. SOLUTION: The magnetizing disk 2 for a magnetic recording medium is formed in shapes of signals by forming a hole or a recessed/projected part 4 or 6 on the surface of a substrate 8, and a superconductor film on the surface of the substrate having the hole or the recessed/projected part formed. By applying a magnetic field in a state where the magnetizing disk cooled to a transition temperature or lower, and a magnetic recording medium 20 having a magnetic film 22 are adhered to each other, the magnetic layer is magnetized by using the completely diamagnetic action of a superconductor. Thus, a preformat, a video signal, an audio signal or the like is quickly and easily recorded (magnetized) by a strong magnetic field.
