PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively detect the passage of individual buses to control the lighting display of signals with priority to the buses in conformity to the tracks of the individual buses. SOLUTION: This system for controlling a signal is provided with a shuttle bus 2 equipped with a transmitter 7 for transmitting a bus signal indicating a vehicle operated on a regular route; a signal receiver 3 installed at a predetermined set spot in front of an intersection where signals A, B are installed, to receive the bus signal; and a signal control device 1 for detecting the passage of the bus through the set spot in the case the signal receiver 3 receives the bus signals, and controlling the signals A, B at the intersection with priority to the bus 2.
