<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by matching the positions of a magnetic tape with each other before changing to a standby mode and after releasing of the standby mode. SOLUTION: When changing to a standby mode, a capstan 6 and a take-up reel 3 are stopped, braking is exerted to a supply reel 2, the tension value of a magnetic tape 10 is detected and recorded as an initial value, the magnetic tape 10 is sent out by a specified length in the direction of the supply reel 2, the magnetic tape 10 held between a pinch roll 7 and the capstan 6 is released, and the rotation of a rotary drum 1 is stopped. When the standby mode is released, the rotary drum 1 is rotated, the magnetic tape 10 is held between the pinch roll 7 and the capstan 6, taken up by the take-up reel 3, and the tension value is detected. The releasing of the standby mode is judged under the condition of the equality of the detected tension value and the stored initial value.</p> |
