PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem such that power supply to an infrared radiation receiving circuit and a microcomputer must be continued in order to receive a remote control signal when image receiving is turned off in a domestic electrified apparatus like a television receiver, which is called as standby time consumption power, and electric power of about 1W is consumed only in an AC-DC converter whose efficiency is low. SOLUTION: The AC-DC converter is not always operated, but electricity is stored in a charge storing means and power is supplied to the microcomputer and the infrared radiation receiving circuit. Before a voltage of the storing means becomes lower than or equal to a prescribed value, practically, the lowest operation voltage of the microcomputer and the infrared radiation receiving circuit, the charge storing means is charged by operating the AC-DC converter. The charging is stopped before the voltage becomes higher than or equal to a prescribed voltage, practically, the highest operation voltage of the microcomputer and the infrared radiation receiving circuit. Thereby the operation frequency of AC-DC converter is reduced and the power in the AC-DC converter whose power efficiency is the worst is reduced, so that the whole standby time consumption power can be reduced. |
