PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver that can correctly set the gain of an AGC amplifier and convert an object signal component into a digital signal having a desired resolution. SOLUTION: A frequency of a down-converter 3 that shifts the center frequency of an object signal component at an RF band to a 1st intermediate frequency band IF 1 is shifted, so that unwanted signal components of high level e.g., adjacent to the object signal component, is brought so that it lies outside of the pass band of a 1st analog IF filter.
