PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the magnetic flux leaking to the outside, without having to install a circuit for generating another magnetic field. SOLUTION: The picture tube discharge device comprises a deflecting coil, which generates a magnetic field for deflecting the electron beam of the picture tube, based on the drive current from the deflecting circuit and a transformer circuit, which is supplied with the drive current and comprises a coil that is wound in the direction, so as to cancel the leakage magnetic flux from the deflecting coil and supplies the high voltage to the picture tube. Since the flux leaking from the transformer circuit cancels the leakage flux from the deflecting coil, a shield material for covering the deflection coil or a circuit for generating another magnetic field is not required, the leakage flux from the deflecting coil can be reduced. |
