PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic sound-deadening and forced transmission-reception stop system, for a portable telephone terminal, wherein the sounding of a reception sound and a transmitting-receiving operation can be stopped at the portable telephone terminal when a user is present in a place where he should refrain from using the portable telephone terminal. SOLUTION: The automatic sound-deadening and forced transmission-reception stop system is provided with a first detection means 12 and a second detection means 13 arranged in such a way that the portable telephone terminal 2 passing at the entrance, the exit and the gateway of a place in which it is desirable to refrain from using the terminal 2 is detected in a prescribed sequence, a transmission means 14 which radio-transmits a prescribed command to the terminal 2 and an entering and leaving control means 11 which decides the movement direction of the terminal 2 on the basis of the input sequence of detection signals of the first and second detection means 12, 13, which generates a sound-deadening command or a transmission-reception stop command so as to be output to the transmission means 14 arranged in the entrance or the gateway when the user enters and which generates a release command so as to be output to the transmission means 14 arranged in the exist or the gateway when the user leaves.
