PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic core, which can significantly improve the workability at assembling of the core, can be stabilized in magnetic characteristic even against a high frequency, and can be reduced in size, and to provide a case used for assembling the core and a method for assembling the core. SOLUTION: The magnetic core is constituted with laminate blocks 23A and 23B, each of which is composed of a pair of symmetrically formed sheet-like magnetic materials being held appropriately between both end sections in the lengthwise direction of laminate blocks 21A and 21B which are composed of a pair of sheet-like magnetic materials formed symmetrically to the center line and used for winding coils 26A and 26B via magnetic gap forming members (spacers) 24 and, in addition, the laminating directions of laminate blocks 23A and 23B are set perpendicular to the laminating directions of the blocks 21A and 21B which are used for winding the coils 26A and 26B.
