PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium in which information recording with higher density is possible and crosstalk between adjacent tracks or pregrooves can be eliminated or decreased by using blue laser or like having shorter wavelength. SOLUTION: The medium is obtained based on such concepts that the difference in the optical distance or depth between recesses or projections of adjacent tracks 21, 22 or pregrooves 23, 24 is effective to suppress the difference in brightness caused in the recording pits 25, 26 adjacent to each other in the radial direction and that the difference in the optical distance is adjusted between adjacent tracks 21, 22. The recesses or projections 23 of the tracks 21, 22 produce the difference in the optical distance between adjacent recesses or projections 24 (such as 1/8 of the wavelength λ of the laser light). |
