PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smart card reader added with a smart card reading function to a PC(printed circuit) card slot. SOLUTION: This smart card reader comprises a card slot main body 2 and a unit 1. The unit 1 is provided with a base 11 rotatably supported by a support section 23, a projection-like movable control pawl 12 rotating the base 11 upward in contact with a PC card and arranged on the lower face of the base 11 in no contact with a smart card, a smart card contact point 13 protruded on the lower face of the base 11, and a stopper 14 protruded on the lower face of the base 11 for positioning the smart card. |
